Review: The Sky is Silent

Book: The Sky is Silent
Author: Aazar Anis
Publisher: MR Publications
Price: Rs 150

Life is a photo album for young poet Aazar Anis, who creates picturesque avenues through his verses. “Each photo symbolises a moment, each poem is a memory…,” claims the poet as he meanders into the bylanes of his mind, weaving magic with words. His poetry touches your heart because of its simplistic approach. Take for instance the poem, My Lady’s Home, which reads — ‘In my lady’s home, the curtains dance. They whisper as they reveal the Sun they hide.’ His words are real, and his vision clear.  However, while most of the time Anis manages to charm, in some verses, he tends to lose track. A good read nevertheles
